Decking materials
Kwila
Kwila (Instsia spp) is a South East Asian tropical hardwood.
Attractive gold to reddy-brown coloured timber which will age to driftwood grey if left to weather.
Kwila is hard wearing, easy to work with and has good strength, durability and excellent stability.
New kwila decks are susceptible to a reddy-brown tannin bleed in the first few months of being laid.
Garapa
Garapa (Apuleia Leiocarpa) is a South American tropical hardwood.
Attractive golden coloured timber which will age to driftwood grey if left to weather.
Garapa is easy to work with and has good strength, durability and stability.
New Garapa decks must be oiled on all sides to allow timber to properly season in the first year.
Pine
Cost effective, healthy (Arsenic-free) alternative to regular Pine decking that you will enjoy for years.
